Hasalaka Weeragamini, soldier who survived the brutal attack on the Elephant Pass Army camp for over 30 years, abandoned his life and sacrificed his life for over 1500 brothers and sisters on July 14. Born on September 22, 1966, Weerasagamini alias Gamini was the second in a family of five. Y. Y. B. Babani was the father of Gamini, and in 1980 he died. Y. B. Gamini, his mother and sister, Gamini lived in a small house in Hasalaka.
